THE SMALL-TOWN STORY OF A BIG-TIME STAR
En route to the airport, fading starlet Donna Fitzgibbons stops in a tiny town to smoke a cigarette by the community centre that serves as its school—and convenience store, and clinic, and gas pump—and accidentally burns it down. As restitution, she must direct a big splashy play full of amateur actors to raise the funds to rebuild. Donna is determined to turn her sentence into the comeback she craves, but the motley cast is proving to be a challenge. How will they possibly pull it off?
