It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement as Artistic Managing Director of the Arts Club Theatre Company, the organization to which I have dedicated my career. The 2017/2018 season will be my last, and I feel extremely blessed to have served the company for these past 45 years.
An incredible amount of growth has happened in our organization, and I’m very proud of each of our successes since our humble beginnings on Seymour Street. All three of our current stages have been established during my tenure, and our focus on premiering Canadian work and engaging new audiences remains a top priority. We’ve come a long way while maintaining the core objectives that we prize: nurturing artists, growing audiences, and creating diverse cultural experiences. The company is in good hands with our committed staff, board of directors, and artists, and I look forward to seeing a bright future as the Arts Club continues to thrive under a new artistic director.
Thank you to our donors, subscribers, patrons, and to the arts community in Vancouver, whose support has been invaluable to me over the years. We would love to hear your thoughts on what you envision for the future of the Arts Club. Your feedback is helpful to us as the Arts Club moves forward.Share Your Thoughts
