The Arts Club Theatre Company’s new season is here! 2007/2008 promises to be a high-spirited one at both our homes: the Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage and the Granville Island Stage. 

As Artistic Managing Director, one of my most important roles is selecting the plays for each venue. Sometimes the perfect mix of shows—comedies, dramas, musicals, classics, premieres—comes together breezily, and creating this season’s line-up was a joy. The predominant theme that has emerged is family—both those we are born into and those we choose—something to which each of us is connected.

Like all relationships, live theatre offers possibilities that are refreshingly endless: it may thrill you, stir your imagination, and provoke laughter and tears. It’s my hope that the shows in our 2007/2008 season will resonate with you, and memories of each will linger long after you’ve left the theatre.
